Sarah Haller, MA, LAMFT Dan
Hi! My name is Sarah and I am excited to be contracted with Northwest Family Counseling to provide counseling services to families in the St.Michael/Albertville area!
I was born and raised in the state of Michigan in a pastor’s home. I came to Minnesota for the first time when I started attending North Central University for my undergraduate degree in Inter-Cultural Studies: World Missions. After completing my degree at North Central and marrying my husband, I began graduate school at Argosy University for a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. My master’s was completed in 2014, and since then I have been working towards licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy.
I have worked predominantly with elementary age children, adolescents and young adults and love working with these demographics. The focus of many of my sessions with clients has been on learning to be assertive, working through pre-marital counseling, walking with kids who are experiencing teenage pregnancy and parenting, single parenting, life transitions, identity, balancing school/work with life, and communicating with authority figures. Having been a pastor’s kid I value working from a Biblical framework and see how truth can help us live in peace and contentment based on God’s design for our life. I am also passionate about working with families who are in ministry as I can relate to the struggle, stress, and work required to serve in a church setting. I enjoy working from the frameworks of structural therapy, systems theory and solutions-focused therapy. I strive to support individuals, couples and families in times of need.
Call today to set up a time to meet and see if I am a good fit for you! (612) 516-5831
